Hiking directly from MIRAMONTI

Hiking on the sunny Tschögglberg high plateau for all seasons

Here we recommend our 5 favourite routes: 

- Sulfner Weiher circuit: from the 4th floor of the MIRAMONTI up to the Sulfner Weiher and the leisurely circular route back to the hotel.
Walking time: approx. 1 hour (there and back)


- Sulfner Hügel loop: From MIRAMONTI to St. Kathrein Church and follow the circular route around the Sulfner Hügel.
Walking time: approx. 30 min (there and back)

- Knottnkino: via the Haflinger adventure trail to the village centre, up to the Leadner Alm and on to the unforgettable viewpoint on porphyry rock ‘Knottnkino’.
Refreshments: Leadner Alm (open from May-Nov, also open in winter)
Walking time: approx. 5 hours (there and back)


- Waterfall trail: past St. Kathrein church, along the small tarmac road to Hafling village. From there on the "Bürgeleweg" to the waterfall and back again. 
Walking time: approx. 1.5 hours (there and back)


- Wurzer Alm: past St. Kathrein church, along the small asphalt road to Hafling village. Trail no. 2 leads through larch forests directly to the Wurzer Alm - a great place to stop for refreshments with a small petting zoo for children.
Hut: Wurzer Alm (open Apr-Nov, open during the winter)
Walking time: approx. 4 hours (there and back)

- 3 huts circuit: from MIRAMONTI to the village centre, to Wurzer Alm, on to Gasthof Waldbichl and back again via Leadner Alm.
Huts: Wurzer Alm, Waldbichl, Leadner Alm (May - Nov., also open in winter)
Walking time: approx. 5 hours (there and back)


- Moschwald & Maiser Alm: from the MIRAMONTI following the "Haflinger Erlebnisweg" until the gas station. From there towards Locherweg and up the hill to the two rustic huts. Typical South Tyrolean fare in a wonderful location. 
Huts: Moschwald & Maiser Alm (open May-Nov)
Walking time: 4.5h (there and back)


- Kuhleiten Hütte: from the 4th floor of the MIRAMONTI on trail no. 50 to Falzeben to the well-signposted path to Kuhleitenhütte. Fantastic views of the valley and 360 degree mountain views. If you wish, you can also climb the "Kleiner" or "Großer Ifinger" (2,553m).
Hut: Kuhleiten Hütte (open May-Nov, open during the winter)
Walking time to the Kuhleitenhütte: 6.5h-7h (there and back) and 1,100 metres of elevation

 


Hiking poles and backpacks are available free of charge at reception. We are happy to prepare a packed lunch for the hike on request.
